AXA - Benjamin P. Hudson
Welcome to my web site.  I am Ben Hudson, the Executive Vice President to the American Division for AXA/Equitable.  My career with Equitable began in 1977 after graduating from Northern Michigan University in 1976.  Within one year I was promoted to District Manager, and was later promoted to Agency Manager in Southfield, Michigan in 1993.  Today, I am the Senior Branch Manager of the Great Lakes Branch in Troy, Michigan.

As a manager I have earned several NCA, DLA, Regional Builders Trophy awards, and the National Builders Trophy.  My primary focus for the Branch has been the development of two Agency Managers, as well as promoting, developing and educating our Proven Producer Groups and our Established Sales Force.

In my 30 years as a financial professional I have been dedicated to working with individuals and businesses in building their financial futures.  I am a member of the prestigious Equitable Hall of Fame and a life and qualifying member of the MDRT, as well as a member of AALU.

My wife, Karen, and I live in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, with my son Brett, and our chocolate Lab, Luke.  My two favorite pastimes are hockey and golf (not necessarily in that order).

What Kind of Investor Are You?

Although most Americans seem to understand that investment involves risk, there is a wide spectrum in how much risk each investor is willing to assume. Among the factors to consider are comfort level, time horizon, and net worth. This article helps investors to consider their appropriate level of risk.

Variable Annuities and Your Retirement Strategy

An insurance product may appeal to pre-retirees who want to invest more of their current incomes for retirement and defer taxes on market gains. A variable annuity enables investors to pursue investment gains with the option to purchase guarantees (for an additional cost) to help protect against the downside risks of investing in the markets.

Protection from a Range of Liability Claims

It's projected that American companies will face $183 billion in tort costs in 2011, and $152 billion of that will land on the books of small businesses. Fortunately, there are several forms of business liability insurance that can help offset these unforeseen costs.

Evaluating Life Insurance Needs

It's a good idea for people to evaluate their life insurance coverage to help ensure it keeps pace with their needs. Not only do major life events affect the amount of coverage that may be needed, but inflation can reduce the purchasing power of the death benefit and a greater benefit may be needed to cover estate taxes and other debts.
